Following the January 2024 inauguration of the Ram Mandir, Uttar Pradesh has increased land circle rates in Ayodhya by up to 200%, the first hike in eight years. Residential property rates in key areas like Sadar tehsil have risen by around 40%, while commercial properties jumped 20% to 50%. Agricultural land prices in areas such as Tihura Manjha surged dramatically from ₹11-23 lakh per hectare to ₹33-69 lakh per hectare, marking a 200% increase. This revision aims to reflect true market values and improve compensation, but has raised concerns among some farmers amid ongoing land acquisitions.
