What Happened During My 45-Minute Ride in Bangalore
During a recent short work trip to Bangalore, I booked a reputed online cab service to get around for a photoshoot. I was wearing a short dress for the shoot, just doing my job and focusing on my work. Unfortunately, the driver’s behavior completely ruined the experience.
From the moment I got in, he kept staring at me in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable — honestly, it felt like blatant eye-fucking. He continued this inappropriate behavior throughout the entire 45-minute journey, making me feel disturbed and unsafe.
After the ride, I immediately complained to the cab provider, hoping they would take my concerns seriously. But instead of addressing the harassment properly, they asked if any physical harm was done.
When I said no, they simply dismissed the case and told me they would “take care of it in future rides.” It felt like they were brushing off my experience and not treating the issue with the urgency it deserves.
It’s shocking and heartbreaking that in 2025, men can still act like this openly without any respect or basic decency. And even more upsetting when companies fail to support victims properly.
This experience made me realize how important it is for companies to take strict action against such conduct and for all of us to speak up about harassment, no matter how small the incident seems. No one should have to feel uncomfortable or unsafe just trying to get from point A to B.
